Michelle Marfurt

Michelle is the Manager of Victorian Legal Service Board + Commissioner's (VLSB+C) Policy and Regulatory Strategy team, a role she has held since 2019. In her role, she oversees the provision of expert policy advice on matters relevant to regulation of Victoria’s legal profession, and the operation of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Uniform Law) in Victoria. Michelle also manages a programme of work to proactively advance VLSB+C’s broader policy agenda, including by developing regulatory strategies, risk outlooks and guidance on emerging issues in the legal profession. She has a particular interest in lawyers’ professional ethics and in supporting lawyers to meet the challenges of contemporary legal practice.
